Abstract
This research aims to analyze and determine the effect of reward and punishment on the performance of Bank Mandiri employees at the Lumajang Regency Sub-Branch Office. The sample used was all employees of Bank Mandiri Sub-Branch Office, Lumajang Regency, to be precise, 50 respondents. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression with the help of the Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) software program29. The results of this research show that partially rewards do not have a significant effect on employee performance, punishment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, reward and punishment simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, but of the two, the one that influences performance the most is punishment.
