Abstract

The development of the internet has changed the paradigm of learning, making the study of online learning an increasingly relevant topic. In the context of education, website-based applications, such as e-learning, have been widely used as a medium for communication and learning. The University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) has developed a Learning Management System (LMS) that allows online access to materials by lecturers and students. Although LMS existed before the pandemic, its effectiveness still needs to be improved because learning at that time was more focused on face-to-face. This study aims to evaluate LMS user satisfaction through the System Usability Scale (SUS) method and qualitative analysis with Thematic Analysis. The results of the SUS evaluation show that LMS is in the low acceptance level category with an average SUS score of 61.55. From these results, it can be concluded that LMS is still below the ideal standard for the desired usability and improvements need to be made to the LMS, this is also supported by the results of the Thematic Analysis which found several obstacles experienced by users while using LMS.
