Abstract

Online gambling is one of the impacts of technological advances that apply gambling to internet media or smartphones as an intermediary. Based on data from Drone Emprit in 2023, it is stated that Indonesia is ranked 1st as the largest online gambling player in the world. One type of online gambling that is rampant today is higgs domino island. Gambling activities carried out online can also be found in Pakukerto Village, Pasuruan. It is undeniable that many late adolescents carry out online gambling activities higgs domino island. The purpose of this research was conducted to find out how the phenomenon of online gambling higgs domino island on late adolescents in Pakukerto Village. This research uses qualitative research methods with the type of case study. The research subjects in this study amounted to 3 research subjects. The technique of determining the subject is using purposive sampling technique. In collecting data, researchers used observation, interview, and documentation techniques. From the research conducted, it can be concluded that the phenomenon of online gambling higgs domino island in late adolescents in Pakukerto Village occurs in 3 stages. First, the learning stage includes understanding game patterns, gambling techniques, understanding how betting works, seeing a good room, and how to trade chips. Second, the intimate group which is the main source of information or knowledge that makes these late adolescents internalize online gambling higgs domino island is a work environment with a high intensity of interaction such as frequent coffee activities together. Third, interpersonal communication that occurs through direct communication, which includes information or knowledge about online gambling higgs domino island, which is carried out in the shop when doing coffee activities together.
