Abstract
Instructional media plays a greater role in supporting students in the learning process. The role of the teacher is to convey experiences to students. Communication can occur in two ways, namely hearing and sight. Instructional media can play a role in both ways. With that, students can more easily understand the material if assisted by media than without media assistance. The researchers used the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) Research and Development model in this type of research. The choice of this research type is based on the needs and urgency requested by the Aqidah Akhlaq teaching instructor. Initial observations also support the reason for choosing this research type, which is to develop Aqidah Akhlaq learning using interesting and innovative animated videos. Based on the
results of validation tests by media experts, using tables and total percentage calculations, the researchers obtained a score of 65%. Based on the assessment by subject matter experts listed in the previous table, the researchers obtained a total percentage of 91%. The validity results conducted in this study indicate that the instructional media developed is suitable for use with some revisions. This study also uses the R&D research method with the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) and adopts this model only up to the development stage.
