Representasi Relasi Sosial Tokoh Transgender dalam Novel Pasung Jiwa Karya Okky Madasari

This research aims to describe (1) the factors that influence the behavior
changes of transgender characters in the novel Okky Madasari Pasung Jiwa (2) the
impact of the personality changes experienced by the transgender character in the
Okky Madasari novel. This research is qualitative. The approach used is sociology
of literature. The source of this research is the Okky Madasari novel Pasung Jiwa,
published in May 2021. This research data is a dialogue as well as the contents of
the novel. Data analysis techniques using content analysis techniques. This
research is carried out through three stages: preparation, implementation, and
completion. The results of the analysis and discussion in the novel Pasung Jiwa by
Okky Madasari found factors that influence: (1) family factors (2) hormonal and
genetic factors (3) physical factors (4) peer factors (5) social and environmental
factors (6) confidence factors. The impact of transgender figures is: (1) expelled
family (2) excluded community (3) sexual harassment by state apparatus.
