Abstract

Background : Indicators of learning success which are measured by a student's GPA
often result in students feeling depressed. One of the factors that can influence learning
achievement is weak family support.
Objective : This study aims to determine the relationship between family support and
the cumulative achievement index of nursing study program students.
Method : The research design used is quantitative research with a cross sectional study
approach. The population in this study were active students from the 2021 class of the
nursing science study program with a sample of 21 respondents.
Results : From the results of data calculations, a significance value (sig) or p value of
0.001 was obtained. The strength of the relationship is strong (0.432) and the direction
of the relationship is positive, meaning that if family support increases, the student's
GPA will also increase.
Conclusion : The majority of respondents receive good family support. The majority
of respondents were known to have a cumulative achievement index score in the very
satisfactory category (47.6%). There is no relationship between family support and
Grade Point Average (GPA).
