Abstract

Background : nosocomial infections occur generally depending on the barrier between a susceptible person and the microorganism. Nosocomial infections occur because nurses lack understanding and are not compliant in carrying out documentation of nursing care, which will result in low quality of nursing services. This is caused by nurses who consider nursing care documentation to be too complicated, varied and time consuming. Nurses' non-compliance in carrying out nursing documentation is influenced by related factors.
Method : Using quality descriptive research in the form of a case report where the researcher explores a phenomenon in a special situation. The author carried out observations and interviews on patients in order to examine the problems found in patients, planning nursing by designing infusion labels and conducting outreach to nurses, implementing patients according to the programmed nursing plan, evaluating patients after carrying out the nursing plan which was carried out by carrying out a calendar. on the patient's infusion.
Results : After carrying out a nursing plan and implementing nursing by giving a date to the patient's infusion to determine the time period for installing the patient's infusion to reduce the nosocomial risk. After implementation, there were no patients affected by phlebitis in patient infusions, which can minimize the risk of infection and the spread of nosocomial infections in patients.
Conclusion : Nosocomial infections occur due to the patient's own normal flora. This infection often occurs in hospitals due to external factors, namely diseases that spread through food, air, objects and materials that are not sterile. Control of nosocomial infections is the responsibility of all individuals and health care providers. . Phlebitis itself is a condition that often occurs in patients treated in hospital. After implementation, there was no incidence of phlebitis in patient infusions, which can minimize the risk of infection, namely nosocomial infections
