ANALISIS MAKNA LIRIK LAGU KANJURUHAN KARYA IWAN FALS MENGGUNAKAN TEORI SEMIOTIKA FERDINAND DE SAUSSURE

The song "Kanjuruhan" was created by Iwan Fals with a humanitarian theme with the aim of recording the unfortunate incident that occurred at the Kanjuruhan Stadium so that it can be thoroughly investigated. In these lyrics, there are many meanings of hypocrisy that teach about togetherness and concern for fellow human beings. This study aims to dissect the message contained in the lyrics of a song entitled "Kanjuruhan" written by Iwan Fals using the Semiotics research method from Ferdinand De Saussure. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a structural qualitative type and the data collection technique used in this study is documentation. The data in this study were analyzed using the semiotic approach of Ferdinand de Saussure through the Signifier and Signified stages. The results of this study reveal that this song was created because of the tragedy at the Kanjuruhan stadium. The lyrics of the song also imply hidden messages about togetherness, caring, and hypocrisy. Each text also has signs and meanings that are interrelated to reveal the message in each piece of the song's lyrics. The conclusion of this study shows that the signifier and the signified are the unity of the sign. The text of the song lyrics is a unit which contains a collection of words, between the words which are related to one another and of course will bring out their own meaning for the interpreters, because everyone will have a different interpretation.
