This research is motivated by the lack of teachers in using basic teaching materials so that students do not get a pleasant learning experience and atmosphere and get interesting experiences during the learning process. Based on the results of the needs analysis, learning media in the form of comics is needed for thematic material on the growth and development of class III elementary schools.
This research uses the steps found in the ADDIE model(Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). This research data is based on the results of a needs analysis. Validation results from material experts, teaching experts, and user response results. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The subjects of this research are class III students at SDN 1 Jatimulyo.
The material expert validation test results of 73,87,85 got a score percentage of 73%, and for the teaching material validation test they got a score percentage of 87%. Meanwhile, the results from user responses reached 85%. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that KOTUBA media This shows that the criteria are valid and can be used in the thematic learning process for theme 2, subtheme 1, growth and development material for class III elementary school.
