Abstract
The development of the globalization era has brought many benefits and conveniences in the proliferation of online media, where it can be utilized by various journalistic parties to deliver news in different ways. One radio platform, Radio Patria, also utilizes Instagram to facilitate broadcasting and information dissemination. Therefore, the author aims to research the Impact of the Social Media Account @Radiopatria on Followers' Satisfaction in Obtaining Information in Blitar City.
Social media is one of the instant media that currently serves various functions, such as a tool for communication, and also serves as a means for users to explore various information. Meanwhile, Instagram is a unique social network, often considered so because its application can inform us about others from various angles and regions of the world. Media exposure refers to an individual's behavior (audience) in using media. In the Stimulus-Organism-Response (SOR) theory, satisfaction is analogized as the effect that arises from specific stimuli, enabling individuals to expect and predict the alignment between message and communication response.
This research utilizes a quantitative approach, specifically causal-comparative research. The method employed is a survey using questionnaires as the data collection tool to determine if there is a relationship between variables X (social media account exposure) and Y (follower satisfaction in obtaining information). The data will be analyzed using SPSS 2.0 software. The study finds that the independent variable (X) of social media account exposure significantly and positively influences the dependent variable (Y) of follower satisfaction, with a calculated t-value of 6.415. The critical t-value (t-table) is 1.966. Since 6.415 > 1.966 and the significance value is 0.000 < 0.05, the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted. The Adjusted R Square value of 0.902 indicates that 90% of the variance in Y (follower satisfaction) can be explained by the variance in X (social media account exposure).
