KONSTRUKSI TANDA-TANDA PESAN MORAL DALAM SEBUAH LIRIK LAGU (Analisis Semiotik Lirik Lagu Mesra-Mesraannya Kecil-Kecilan Dulu)

This research analyzes the moral messages contained in a literary work in the form of song lyrics, the song is entitled “Mesra-mesraannya kecil-kecilan dulu”, a song written and sung by a musician named Sal Priadi. The researcher decided to research this after observing that the song was widely used on social media as content that was usually themed sad and emotional, seeing this phenomenon the researcher was interested in exploring the meaning contained in it. The focus of the problem contained in the following research is; What is the moral message contained in the lyrics of the song “mesra-mesraannya kecil-kecilan dulu” based on Ferdinand de Saussure's semiotic perspective.
The purpose of the research is to describe and understand what moral messages are contained in it using the semiotic perspective. This research uses a qualitative research approach with an interpretative type. Lines of song lyrics are the primary data source and literature, documents, and internet articles are the secondary sources. The data analysis technique uses Ferdinand de Saussure's semiotic model (signifier, signified) and then is associated with moral message points in a literary work with validity testing using data triangulation.
The results of the study found three categories of moral messages contained in the song lyrics, namely: moral messages related to human relationships with themselves, human relationships with society, and human relationships with God. Based on the research, the main value in the lyrics is about simple affection and love. It also depicts the songwriter's “regret” for the problems that make it difficult for him to express his affection for his child optimally, and it also contains a “hope” that things will get better as soon as possible.
