Abstract

The Pancasila Student Profile Enhancement Project (P5) is a project activity to be carried out by students as an implementation of an independent curriculum. The project is a means of achieving the profile of students of pancasila, which gives students the opportunity to “experience knowledge” for the process of character enhancement and learning opportunities from the surrounding environment. The P5 program held in Kauman 1 Poor City is running structured, each class has its own themes. The theme chosen as the research is sustainable lifestyles held in class 4. This research aims to find out: (1) Implementation of the P5 program (Project for Strengthening the Student Profile of Pancasila) in Kauman 1 Kota Malang SDN, and (2) Application of independent character in the implementation of P5 programme in the Kauman 1. This research uses a type of qualitative approach and descriptive research.
Descriptive Qualitative Approach is an approach that is focused on obtaining the data in the field and then analyzed. Data obtained from the results of observations, interviews and documentation with the parties concerned are submitted in writing by theresearchers.
The results of the research showed that the P5 program implemented in the SDN Kauman 1 Poor City is already in line with the theme of sustainable lifestyle. Students are accustomed to environmentally friendly practices and understand their role as agents of change in preserving the environment. The self-trained character already matches the self-element indicators on the student profile of Pancasila which contains the sub-elements Recognize qualities and self-interest as well as challenges faced, Developself-reflection,and emotional..regulation.
