Abstract

The aim of this research is to create and develop children's story reading learning media based on the Google Sites website for subjects at SDN Kalipucang II Tutur which can be used to support learning. The learning media created is created by combining various multimedia objects, namely text, images, videos, evaluation questions and interactive buttons.

This research uses the ADDIE research and development model (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation). The subjects of this research were 24 grade 2 students at SDN Kalipucang II Tutur. Data collection techniques used include observation, interviews, questionnaires, learning outcomes tests (tests), and documentation. Data is analyzed using validity, effectiveness and user response analysis.

The results of observations at SDN Kalipucang II Tutur on November 1 2023 stated that class II students faced a number of problems in reading stories, which could affect their literacy skills. One of the main problems is difficulty reading comprehension. Some students may have difficulty detailing details, grasping abstract concepts, or understanding cause-and-effect relationships in stories. Meanwhile, the research results show that the validity of interactive multimedia from material experts received a score of 80.5% in the appropriate category and multimedia experts received a score of 85% in the very appropriate category. Meanwhile, more than 70% of the students' ability test scores were declared complete. Apart from that, in terms of practicality, this interactive multimedia received a score of 83%, including very practical criteria. This shows that the use of interactive multimedia that has been developed is effective in supporting learning.
