Abstract
The civil service is responsible for carrying out a number of public, state and development utility tasks. As is the case in Malang City BKPSDM has an important role so it is mandatory to have quality human resources and its employees are expected to have a great sense of responsibility in carrying out their duties. In its implementation, employees not only do it all themselves, but good communication and cooperation between fellow employees is needed to complete something. The research method used is qualitative-descriptive. The data collection techniques used were interview guidelines, observation and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The findings obtained are the strategies used to improve the performance of existing employees at BKPSDM Malang City, namely providing motivation, increasing employee discipline, employee training and coaching, apart from that, the strategy of BKPSDM Malang City in Improving Employee Performance that has been implemented, it appears that it has succeeded in providing good impact on BKPSDM Malang City, especially on improving employee performance. Of course, the success achieved does not just happen, but there is a driving and supporting component behind it, namely human resources.
