Abstract

Teacher readiness in implementing the independent curriculum is a determinant in realizing learning that is in accordance with the objectives of the independent curriculum. The efforts made by teachers at SDN Rejoagung 3 to prepare themselves for the implementation of the independent curriculum are also inseparable from obstacles. This study aims to determine: (1) The readiness of teachers at SDN Rejoagung 3 in implementing the Independent Curriculum, (2) Obstacles experienced by teachers in implementing the Independent Curriculum, (3) Teacher solutions to overcome obstacles in implementing the Independent Curriculum
This study uses a qualitative research approach with a case study method. This research was conducted at SDN Rejoagung 3, Jombang Regency and focused on the readiness of teachers in grades 1, 2, 4, and 5. Researchers used interviews, observations, and documentation in data collection. Data analysis in this study went through four stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of the data used two methods, namely source triangulation and technique triangulation.
The results is teachers in grades 1, 2, 4, and 5 of SDN Rejoagung 3 have good readiness in implementing the independent curriculum which is seen in four aspects (cognitive, physical, psychological, and financial). Teachers also encounter obstacles in implementing the independent curriculum but this does not prevent them from continuing learning. Teachers also find solutions to overcome obstacles, including searching for information via the internet, exchanging information with colleagues, and using the Merdeka Mengajar Platform (PMM) properly.
