Abstract
This research aims to determine the influence of workload on employee performance through the work stress variable as an intervening variable. This research was carried out at Clean Shoes, Malang City. The sampling technique used total sampling with a sample size of 36 employees. The data analysis technique used is Path Analysis with Statistical Product and Service Solution
(SPSS) software version 21. The results of this research show that workload has a positive and significant effect on performance. Workload has a positive and significant effect on work stress. Work stress has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Workload has a positive and significant effect on
performance through work stress.
