Abstract

One means to improve the students’ ability the role of media is needed. It is done based on a needs analysis, a lack of students’ variety and use of learning media on fifth grade of Bediwetan Elementary School. Teachers deliver education repeatedly without using learning media cause of students are less actively involved in learning. Based on this, the flat building material of grade 5 mathematics learning at SDN Bediwetan requires learning media that can support teaching and learning activities in the classroom. This study aims to determine the development of tetris media on flat building material for grade 5 elementary school students.
This research uses the ADDIE model including (analyze, design, development, implementation, evaluation). The subjects of this research 5 grade were 15 students at Bediwetan Elementary School. Data collecting techniques used in this research include observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique uses two techniques, namely quantitative and qualitative data analysis. The research instrument uses questionnaire guidelines, observation guidelines and interview guidelines.

The results of media validation get a percentage value of 86% with a very valid category while material expert validation gets a percentage value of 92% with a very valid category. The response questionnaire filled in by students received a percentage value of 88% while the response questionnaire filled in by the class teacher received a percentage value of 88%. Based on this research, tetris media can be applied to learning mathematics flat building material in grade 5 elementary school. This research can be used as a reference for future research, especially on flat building materials or can be expanded to other materials.
