Abstract
Introduction Hypertension in Pregnancy (HDK) is a condition where pregnant women have systolic blood pressure ≥ 130 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure ≥ 80 mmHg which is usually detected from 20 weeks of gestation, however in mothers with hypertension before pregnancy it will be detected from early pregnancy. The impact of hypertension in pregnancy is that the mother will experience changes in basic needs such as disturbances in comfort due to nausea, vomiting, weight gain due to changes in eating patterns, swelling in the extremities due to circulation problems, stress and emotionality due to changing psychological patterns and this can impact the fetus, possibly experiencing an abortion. . If it is not resolved immediately because the mother is bleeding, the fetus will be premature because the nutritional absorption process is not optimal. The initial cause of hypertension in pregnancy is the mother's age < 20 years and > 35 years. Many people have low awareness about hypertension in pregnancy and it is even the cause of the death rate of pregnant women. People consider hypertension in pregnancy to be a common thing that happens to pregnant women in general. This research method is a qualitative descriptive study which aims to explain the experiences of mothers who have experienced it. Pregnancy with hypertension. The research carried out included interviews and observations of 10 research participants during August 2023. The research results from the environment experienced by pregnant women with hypertension obtained 5 themes, namely 1) Physical changes during hypertension in pregnancy 2) Psychological changes and social support provided accepted during hypertension in pregnancy 3) Pattern of sexual hypertension in pregnancy 4) Complementary measures taken to reduce hypertension in pregnancy 5) Activities restricted in pregnancy. From the experience of pregnant women with hypertension, it will be a lesson for all women not to experience hypertension during pregnancy, to know what symptoms appear when experiencing hypertension during pregnancy and what impact it has on the fetus and what factors cause hypertension in pregnancy.
