Abstract
In mathematics learning in elementary schools, especially multiplication material, many students find it difficult. This multiplication material is often understood as abstract material so that this multiplication material becomes a monotonous burden and does not interest students. Along with the development of time, the management of media learning aids is needed to help the teaching and learning process in students. However, mathematics subjects are always seen as difficult in elementary school students because Mathematics subjects contain calculations, nodes and abstract concepts. The purpose of research on the development of multiplication comic media is to produce the development of comic media to improve the understanding of multiplication material in grade IV of elementary school.
Through the Research and Development (R&D) research method, this development research is carried out, which is a method intended to ensure its effectiveness and application in the field of education. The researcher in this case chose the ADDIE research model as a research model, where the application includes the process of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Utilization of the ADDIE research model by researchers because it is effectively able to facilitate careful, effective and efficient educational planning.
The results of the "magic numbers" comic media development research are reviewed from media expert validation, learning hali validation and material expert validation with the results, material validation obtained a value of 90% feasible according to the revision with suggestions to replace initial competencies, replace initial activities to final activities, and add assessments such as cognitive, affective and psychomotor assessments, , media validation obtained a score of 77% feasible according to the revision with the suggestion The logo on the cover is only 1 (UMM logo), the name of the supervisor does not need to be placed on the cover, just the name of the student, Please tidy up again giving page numbers, learning validation gets a value of 100% feasible not revision with notes Comics are very good, and can make it easier for students to learn multiplication. The results of user responses to the comic media "magic numbers" in grade IV SDN Tunjungsekar 3 Malang obtained from the student response questionnaire 94%.
