The Effect of Cultural Differences on Student's Communication

This research was conducted to determine the influence of cultural differences experienced by students outside Malang in terms of communication and how they overcome these effects. This study focuses on communication between students, students outside Malang tend to use different communication types than local students, starting from the tone, gestures, and context. This research uses interview and observational research using qualitative-methods to collect various data of the students. 5 FLSP Students 5 semester and above have been prepared for this study who come outside Malang and currently studying at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang with various thoughts about cultural differences they experienced.
