STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN USAHA KECIL MENENGAH UKM DI KOTA MALANG (Studi pada Dinas Koperasi Perindustrian dan Perdagangan Kota Malang)

The development of Small and Medium Enterprises (UKM) in Malang City is a vital aspect in strengthening the local economic sector. In this context, the Malang City Department of Industry and Trade Cooperatives plays a crucial role in designing and implementing strategic steps to support the growth and sustainability of SMEs. This research aims to explore the concrete actions taken by the Department in efforts to develop SMEs in Malang City. Through a qualitative descriptive approach, using in-depth interviews, observations and document analysis, this research analyzes the potential and challenges faced by SMEs, as well as relevant local and global market trends. The research results provide in-depth insight into the strategies that have been implemented by the Department of Industry and Trade Cooperatives, provide direction for improving SME development strategies, and produce more effective policy recommendations in the future. In conclusion, the strategy implemented by the Malang City Industry and Trade Cooperative Service has significant theoretical and practical implications, enriches academic and practical knowledge in SME development, and provides valuable guidance for local governments and related institutions in supporting local economic growth. One of the concrete initiatives from the Department is the establishment of a Micro Enterprise Business Clinic in Malang City, which aims to provide direct support to independent micro entrepreneurs through assistance and guidance, thereby helping them develop and strengthen their businesses.
