Abstract
As a professional teacher, you must be skilled in explaining learning material so that you can guide students in understanding learning, train students' independence, and allow students to think critically. So teachers must be able to apply 8 basic teaching skills. This research aims to describe: (1) planning teaching modules in basic teaching skills (teaching skill) to grade 1 teachers at SD Muhammadiyah 08 Dau-Malang. (2) implementation of basic teaching skills (teaching skill) for grade 1 teachers. (3) obstacles in implementing basic teaching skills (teaching skill) for grade 1 teachers. (4) teachers' efforts to overcome obstacles in the implementation of basic teaching skills(teaching skill) to the 1st grade teacher.
This research uses qualitative research and a qualitative descriptive approach. Place and time of research at SD Muhammadiyah 08 Dau-Malang in the 2023/2024 academic year. Data sources were obtained from primary and secondary data. Primary data was obtained from class 1B teachers and class 1B students. Secondary data was obtained from school principals and teaching modules. The research procedure has several stages, namely preparation, implementation, data analysis and reporting. Data analysis using Miles and Huberman. Data validity management uses data triangulation.
The research results from the implementation of basic teaching skills for class 1B teachers are the implementation of 8 basic teaching skills(teaching skill) The most prominent activities carried out by class 1B teachers are the 4 basic teaching skills, namely 1) questioning skills, 2) explaining skills, 3) strengthening skills, and (4) class management skills, that the components contained in each of these skills everything has been carried out very well and optimally. Meanwhile, in the other 3 basic teaching skills, namely 1) skills in using variations, 2) skills in opening and closing lessons, and 3) small group and individual teaching skills, there are only 1 to 2 components contained in each of these skills. implemented, but can still be categorized as good. Meanwhile, 1 other basic teaching skill, namely the skill of guiding small group discussions, of the 8 components, only 4 components were implemented so it can be categorized as sufficient.
