Abstract

Background: In the postpartum period there are several risks that occur, namely bleeding and the risk of infection. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the estimated maternal mortality rate worldwide is 216/100,000 KH every year. Normal postpartum mothers are at high risk of complications and postpartum mothers are lazy to mobilize early due to pain in the perineal muscles. This study aims to describe the process of providing Early Mobilization Interventions and Postpartum Gymnastics on the Physiology of Postpartum Mothers.
Method: The research method of Ners Final Scientific Work is a case study report taken on December 20, 2023 with the inclusion criteria of primigravidarum patients. For early mobilization interventions and puerperal exercises which were carried out for 3 days in the kaber room. Mrs. K is 21 years old with a diagnosis of P1001Ab000 who has complaints of acute pain. The intensity of acute pain, TFU, PPV, TTV, uterine contractions were measured in a qualitative subjective numerical scale based on the Indonesian Nursing Outcome Standards (SLKI).
Results: Early mobility therapy and postpartum exercises to accelerate uterine involution, improve blood circulation, prevent thrombo embolism, prevent postpartum infections, uterine contractions will be good so that the fundus uteri becomes hard, so the risk of bleeding can be avoided. After being given a 3-day intervention showed a decrease from scale 5 pain down to scale 2.
Conclusion: Early mobility therapy and postpartum exercises are very useful for preventing thromboembolism, increasing uterine contractions, accelerating uterine involution, improving blood circulation. Recommendations for nurses to provide education so that it is carried out routinely for postpartum mothers.
