Abstract
Background: Menstrual disorders are a condition that can occur in various age groups and health conditions. Stress is thought to be one of the causal factors and is related to the occurrence of menstrual cycle irregularities, dysmenorrhea and the amount of menstrual blood in female students. One of the stresses in female students is stress in studying. This research aims to determine the relationship between study stress and menstrual irregularities, dysmenorrhea and the amount of menstrual blood in UMM female students. Method: This research uses a quantitative correlation method with a cross sectional study approach, conducted at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang which was carried out in November 2023. Data was collected using a random sampling technique and obtained 235 respondents. Data was collected using the Learning Stress questionnaire and observation sheet questionnaires for menstrual cycles, dysmenorrhea and blood counts. The statistical method used is Chi-square correlation analysis. Results: The results of data analysis in this study obtained a p-value of 0.009 on the relationship between study stress and the menstrual cycle, meaning there is a significant relationship between study stress and menstrual cycle irregularities. study stress and dysmenorrhea, and obtained a p-value of 0.446 on the relationship between study stress and the amount of menstrual blood, meaning that there is no significant relationship between study stress and the amount of menstrual blood in nursing students. Conclusion: The higher the level of study stress in female students, the more it affects the cycle. menstruation, dysmenorrhea and the amount of menstrual blood. The lower the level of learning stress, the closer the menstrual cycle, dysmenorrhea and blood counts will be to normal. Researchers recommend that female students should be able to manage stress well and maintain their health to avoid menstrual disorders.
