Abstract
Background: Agriculture is one of the most important sectors in Indonesia. So farmers need to work hard to achieve their harvest targets. This causes musculoskeletal complaints to arise, one of which is shoulder pain (Frozen Shoulder). Frozen Shoulder is stiffness in the shoulder which results in limited shoulder movement resulting in pain. The risk factors for Frozen Shoulder in farmers can be influenced by individual factors, environmental factors and work factors. Job factors include length of service and work attitudes. Long periods of work and unergonomic work positions will affect the shoulder muscles, there by increasing the risk of Frozen Shoulder.
Objective: The aim of this research is to determine whether there is a relationship between work experience and work attitudes on the risk of Frozen Shoulder among rice farmers in Pakisaji Village.
Method: The research method used was analytical observational with a cross sectional approach to determine the relationship between work experience and work attitudes on the risk of frozen shoulder among farmers in Pakisaji Village. The total sample for this study was 49 respondents. Data collection was carried out directly through questionnaires and OWAS. To process the data, analysis was carried out using the Spearman rank test
Results: The results of the study show that there is a relationship between length of service and the risk of Frozen Shoulder with = 0.000 (p<0.05) with a correlation value of 0.614, which means the degree of relationship between the variables is strong. There is a relationship between work attitudes and the risk of Frozen Shoulder with p-value = 0.000, (p<0.05) with a correlation value of 0.429, which means the degree of relationship between variables is moderate.
Conclusion: There is a relationship between length of service and work attitudes on the risk of frozen shoulder among rice farmers in Pakisaji Village.
