Abstract
The Role of Teacher Communication in Shaping Islamic Personality and Enhancing Student Engagement in Learning at MAN Mbay Nagekeo
This study analyzes the role of teacher communication in shaping Islamic personality and increasing student engagement in the learning process at MAN Mbay Nagekeo. Using a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that teacher communication takes two main forms: verbal communication, such as lectures, discussions, and question-and-answer sessions, and non-verbal communication, such as exemplary behavior and social interactions. Both forms of communication contribute to shaping students' Islamic character, enhancing discipline, and fostering a sense of responsibility and empathy within the school environment. Additionally, effective communication creates a conducive learning atmosphere and encourages active student participation in learning. The implications of this study emphasize the need for teachers to optimize interpersonal communication techniques to build positive relationships with students, thereby creating a more effective and Islamic-oriented educational environment.
