Abstract

The development of financial technology has facilitated financial transactions and has the potential to support more sustainable consumption behavior. This study aims to analyze the impact of financial technology integration on sustainable consumption behavior and its effect on the green economy ecosystem among Generation Z, as well as to evaluate the mediating role of sustainable consumption behavior in the relationship between financial technology and the green economy. The research employs a quantitative approach using Partial Least Squares - Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Data were collected through a survey of 233 Generation Z respondents in Malang City who actively use financial technology. The results indicate that financial technology integration has a positive and significant effect on both sustainable consumption behavior and the green economy. Furthermore, sustainable consumption behavior mediates the relationship between financial technology and the green economy, confirming that financial technology plays a crucial role in fostering environmentally responsible consumption patterns.
