Abstract
Ornamental plants, a part of floriculture, have high aesthetic and economic value and have become a leading commodity in Indonesia. CV Mawar Indah Alam was established in Batam in 2015 and underwent a significant evaluation after obtaining legal status in 2021. Legal status has enhanced the company’s credibility, market access, and professionalism. The company has been able to expand services such as providing premium plants, design consulting, and supporting sustainable development. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, conducted in a
natural environment to explore information regarding the business changes of CV Mawar Indah Alam before and after obtaining legal status. Data was collected through direct observation and company archive documentation, interview. The research findings indicate that legal status had a significant impact on the operational management, human resources, finance, marketing, and strategy of the company. Before obtaining legal status, the company was managed simply, with operations limited to short-term needs. After obtaining legal status in 2021, the company experienced more structured changes. Legal status also increased the company’s credibility, facilitated access to large projects, and improved customer trust.
