Abstract

Education requires quality learning activities to advance the growth of students' morals or character, thoughts or intellect. The role of a quality teacher is needed to produce quality learning through the basic teaching skills they possess, one of which is the skill of providing variety. The aim of this research is to analyze teachers' basic teaching skills in providing variations in Class V Physical Education learning at SDN 1 Landungsari.
This research is a qualitative research with a case study approach carried out in July 2024 in class V of SDN 1 Landungsari Malang. The research subjects were Physical Education teacher. Data was collected through interviews, observation and documentation. The collected data was analyzed through the following three stages: data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions.
The results of the research showed that the basic teaching skills of teachers in providing variations in Physical Education lessons in class V of SDN 1 Landungsari are based on three indicators, namely variations in teaching methods (such as aspects of efforts to focus students' attention, the use of icebreakers in between lessons, changes in position and checking paths. students, visual contact with students during learning and teaching methods); variations in the use of media and teaching tools (such as aspects of using virtual applications for learning, using learning media in delivering material, and involving students in using learning media); as well as variations in interaction patterns and student activities (aspects of teacher interaction with students or student activities during the learning process) appear to have been carried out well in almost all aspects of the indicators studied. This is because in the aspect of voice use (one aspect of the variation in teaching methods), the teacher seems monotonous and less creative and less innovative in playing voice intonation when teaching where the teacher only uses a loud voice.
