Abstract

Background :
Delusion is a disturbance in perception and thinking that often occurs in individuals with psychotic disorders. The global prevalence of thought process disorders (delusions) is estimated at around 0.05-0.1%. The type of psychosis disorder that interferes with cognitive function uses primary disturbances in the thought process, and there is an imbalance between the thought process, feelings or emotions, will and psychomotor activities. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the application of psychoeducation with CBT elements with SPTK on Mr. J with nursing problems of thought process disorders (delusions)..

Method :
This study uses a non-probability method with a purposive sampling model. Researchers can be directly involved in the interview process with participants, conduct observations, and gain a deep understanding of the substance being studied. The instruments used are the mental health nursing assessment sheet and the PANSS-EC assessment sheet.

Results :
After giving psychoeducational intervention with CBT elements to Mr. J for 6 consecutive days, the results were proven to be effective. Where the first meeting of the client's PANS-EC assessment sheet results totaled 20 and the last day (day 6) totaled 6. This means that the client who initially experienced moderate symptoms, now has minimal symptoms. The results of the PANSS-EC showed that the client experienced an improvement in condition, where initially the client had maladaptive behavior, now the client is moving towards adaptive behavior.

Conclusion:
The application of psychoeducatiOn with CBT elements with SPTK on Mr. J with nursing problems of thought process disorders (Delusions) is able to overcome mental disorders. Where clients who initially often showed maladaptive behavior, now clients can distinguish between the real world and their fantasy world. Intervention can stimulate the client's cognitive ability to be more positive.
