Abstract
This study aims to analyze the development of fine motor skills in autistic students through an individual learning program (ILP) based on ecobricks at SD Muhammadiyah 9 Malang. Ecobricks were used as a learning medium involving motor activities such as gripping, cutting, and inserting small objects into bottles. The study involved six autistic students with varying levels of severity, using a qualitative approach and descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation during the program implementation.
The results showed that using ecobricks in ILP had a positive impact on the development of students' fine motor skills. Students demonstrated improved abilities in activities such as tracing patterns, compacting bottles, and other tasks requiring hand-eye coordination. These activities helped students become more independent and confident in completing fine motor tasks. Additionally, the program increased students' awareness of waste management, providing an added benefit in environmental education.
The study concludes that integrating ecobricks into ILP is an innovative and effective teaching method for improving fine motor skills in autistic students. This method not only supports motor development but also strengthens social interaction and environmental awareness. This research is expected to serve as a reference for educators in designing inclusive learning programs tailored to the needs of students with autism. Thus, ecobricks can become a multifunctional learning medium that contributes significantly to inclusive education.
