EFEKTIFITAS TERAPI AKUPRESUR 6 TITIK PERIKARDIUM PADA PASIEN MUAL MUNTAH POST KEMOTERAPI

Background: Chemotherapy is a treatment that is considered more successful in reaching cancer cells that have metastasized and enlarged. One of the side effects of chemotherapy is nausea vomiting, because chemotherapy is the most common side effect, which causes many effects for patients such as low compliance in treatment, physical activity, anorexia, stress, and low quality of life. One of the non-pharmacological management of nausea and vomiting is acupressure therapy, this therapy is a therapy that uses fingers or blunt objects to stimulate points on the body that aim to balance energy.
Method: The research method used is the Quantitative Quasi Experiment Design method with Pre Post Test design. This study involved 30 respondents who experienced nausea vomiting post chemotherapy. Data collection using questionnaires, interviews, and observations were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistic 30.0 and for data analysis using the Wilcoxon Test.
Results: The results showed a significance value (sig.) or p value of 0.001 < (0.05), which showed that there was a significant difference before and after acupressure therapy was given to patients with post-chemotherapy nausea and vomiting.
Conclusion: Thus, it can be concluded that acupressure therapy can be used to relieve nausea and vomiting.
