Abstract
Background: Seborrheic Dermatitis is one of the skin condition which has characteristics as papulosquamous happens in the areas which has much sebaceous gland, like scalp, face and body. Seborrheic Dermatitis’ event sometimes happen in male rather female because the differences in sebaceous gland, hormone and number of hair follicles.
Objective: The purpose of this research is for understanding the effect of pomade usage towards Seborrheic Dermatitis in UMM FK Students of 2021, 2022 and 2023.
Methods: The research categorized as analytics observational research which cross sectional design that has 60 samples of students, data retrieval is using questionnaire which will be processed later using SPSS using chi-square method.
Results and Discussion: The test chi-square results p-value = <0,05 (0.000) for the frequent of pomade usage and for the routine usage p-value= <0,05 (0.004) this research indicate there is correlation between pomade which has Seborrheic Dermatitis event in FK UMM students.
Conclusion: Frequency and duration of pomade use affect the symptoms of Seborrheic Dermatitis in FK UMM students.
