Abstract
The business process of administrative services in Kromengan District, Malang Regency, currently relies on traditional methods. This reliance poses challenges in implementing a more modern and efficient administrative service system for the community. This study aims to address these challenges by applying the Business Process Reengineering (BPR) approach to improve service efficiency and quality through the integration of information technology. The manual processes used in administrative services, such as the application for ID cards, birth certificates, and death certificates, face several obstacles, including long processing times and the risk of human error. Through the BPR method, this study conducts an in-depth analysis of the existing process flow to identify areas that require significant improvements. The study also focuses on redesigning the workflow by eliminating non-value-added steps and automating certain stages to make the process faster and more accurate. To assess the effectiveness of these changes, throughput or process efficiency testing is conducted, comparing the existing process with the proposed new process. The research findings indicate that the implementation of BPR can improve the efficiency of administrative services in Kromengan District, both in terms of processing time and process simplicity. This change significantly reduces waiting times and service complexity, thus enhancing public satisfaction with administrative services in the district.
