ANALISIS IMPLEMENTASI PENERIMAAN PASIEN BARU DI RUANGAN RAWAT INAP RUMAH SAKIT RSUD DR.SAIFUL ANWAR MALANG

Background: That many nurses have not carried out orientation in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP). For example, orientation regarding procedures and patient rights has not been carried out thoroughly. This has the potential to cause confusion for patients and families regarding how to use the facilities and applicable procedures. This study aims to identify the implementation of new patient orientation in the inpatient room at Dr. Saiful Anwar. Method: This research uses a descriptive approach with a case study, involving all nurses in the Jimbaran Room. Results: Observations and interviews revealed that new nurses always followed SOP principles, while old nurses sometimes ignored SOP, considering orientation as trivial. Conclusion: Comprehensive training is needed for nurses to improve the quality of care for new patients, both for new and existing nurses.
