Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of occupational health and safety as well as incentives on employee performance with work motivation as an intervening variable among Production Sharing Contract (KKKS) Contractors in the Kangean production area. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey design and data collection instruments in the form of questionnaires. The research sample consists of 86 respondents selected through a purposive sampling technique. This study uses the Structural Equation Modeling analysis technique with the Smart PLS program. (Partial Least Square). The analysis results show that occupational health and safety have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, incentives have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, occupational health and safety have a positive and significant effect on work motivation, and incentives have a positive and significant effect on work motivation. Additionally, work motivation has been proven to have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. These findings also indicate that work motivation can act as an intervening variable that mediates the relationship between occupational health and safety and incentives on employee performance.
