PEMAKNAAN PESAN INFORMASI KESEHATAN PADA TAYANGAN YOUTUBE SEPULANG SEKOLAH “KENAPA MAKIN BANYAK ANAK MUDA KENA KANKER? HATI-HATI BEGADANG! TAK TERHINDARKAN? | LEARNINGGOOGLING” (Studi Resepsi Pada Mahasiswa Kedokteran Malang)

Social media has become a necessity for almost everyone, with nearly everyone having a social media account. The purpose of using social media varies from person to person, but one of the common reasons is to seek information. The type of information sought is diverse, including health-related information. The YouTube channel Sepulang Sekolah is one of the content creators that produces videos related to health information. The author aims to explore how health information is received when it is provided by someone who is not a health practitioner, but rather an influencer, from the perspective of medical students.

This study uses a qualitative approach with an interpretive research design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with three medical students from Malang, complemented by documentation from the Sepulang Sekolah YouTube videos. The theoretical framework applied in this study is Reception Analysis.

The results of this study show that the participants interpret the overall health information presented in Sepulang Sekolah's YouTube videos in different ways. The dominant interpretation among the participants is hegemonic, where most of them accept the content as presented. However, there are also some participants who take a negotiated or oppositional stance. This variation is expected, given the differences in background, interests, and experiences among the participants.
