Abstract
The purpose of the research is to describe the meaning of Tonjokan in Javanese Wedding Tradition According to Accounting Perspective. The informants in this study are Kidal Village people who still maintain the Tonjokan tradition in every event / celebration and understand the Tonjokan tradition. The analysis tool uses descriptive qualitative data analysis. The Tonjokan tradition in Kidal Village is part of the debt that must be repaid, paid and returned. The people of Kidal Village consider that the Tonjokan invitation is a debt that must be returned. When receiving Tonjokan, it will appear in the mind of someone who receives that they have an obligation to make a contribution, while the Tonjokan giver will consider having a debt that will later be returned.
