Abstract

One of the cultural religion is a cultural symbol on batik that has a meaning and cultural message that exists in the design or pattern of Tanjung Bumi Madura Batik. As for this research, it aims to deeply understand the meaning and significance of cultural communication symbols that are represented in the design (stym) of Batik Tanjung Bumi, Madura. From that problem, the researcher formulated the problem, one of which is in the form of a message that cultural symbols are represented into the design (stym) of Tanjung Bumi batik and how the process of the meaning of the symbol of batik painting.

This research uses the Descriptive Qualitative Method, and the research basis uses Descriptives that describe and explain the phenomenon of beliefs, and languages that have developed, and are embraced by various community groups, the littlejohn message contained in the motif pattern in the symbol of the culture of batik Maduranjung bumi.

From this research, it was found that: Symbols of the Culture of the Madura Cap
