Abstract
Film production management is a process of film realization, through three stages in the film, namely, pre-production, production, and post-production. Producers have a role in managing the course of production, so that they can produce and achieve optimal goals. This work aims to understand the application of the production management process using functions management in the short fiction film "aA". This film tells the story of a person a child who travels through time looks back at the past and sees the past the front. The creation of this short fiction film will be reviewed through management theory. The use of management theory during the process of realizing this film shows that it is optimal in implementing Fayol's basic management functions. Results The application is that the producer carries out the process of 1) Planning in the form of creating story ideas, preparing budgets, determining locations, planning accommodation, transportation and consumption. 2) Organizing in the form of team formation production and preparation of the timeline. 3) Commanding in the form of resource management human resources, time and cost management, and compatibility management. 4) Coordinating takes the form of coordinating a series of production and management processes communication. And 5) Controlling, the creator supervises the creative process and progress meetings.
