INTERPRETASI KOMUNIKASI DALAM HUBUNGAN BERPACARAN (Studi Wacana Kritis Pada Music Video "Cincin" oleh Hindia)

This research analyzes the representation of communication in dating relationships through the music video "Cincin" by Hindia, using a Critical Discourse Study approach by Teun A. van Dijk and social construction theory. The song "Cincin" offers a depiction of uncertainty, emotional turbulence, and conflicts in romantic relationships, which are contextualized within the social norms of Indonesian society. Through lyric analysis and symbolism in the visuals, this research examines how the music video reproduces and challenges hegemonic ideologies of love, such as expectations of marriage and loyalty.

Symbolism in the video reveals emotional conflict and the imbalance of power within relationships, reflecting the tension between traditional norms and alternative narratives about love. The messages conveyed through the visuals and lyrics offer critical views on existing social constructions, especially in the context of gender relations and commitment.

The findings indicate that "Cincin" functions as a medium to challenge the dominant ideology of romantic love, by presenting the reality of relationships that are full of uncertainty, yet still carry strong emotional significance.
