Abstract
The Covid-19 pandemic has brought susceptibility to the elderly with a decrease in body immunity, so that there is a decrease in quality of life and sleep quality. The purpose of this study is to determine the quality of life and sleep quality in the elderly after the Covid-19 pandemic. The research design used a cross-sectional research design with 99 elderly respondents. The data were returned using the Pitssburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire and the WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire and were tested and analyzed using an analytical test using the spearman rank correlation test. The results of this study show that the majority of the elderly with a high quality of life are 59 (59.6%). Meanwhile, the elderly with high sleep quality were 58 (58.6%). The results of the spearman correlation test showed that there was a relationship between quality of life and sleep quality in the elderly after the Covid-19 pandemic, as evidenced by a significant value of 0.001 and a value (r) of 0.561 with a moderate relationship strength. After the Covid-19 pandemic, the elderly really need a good quality of life, where the importance of maintaining physical and psychological health, family and environmental support, good economic status and spirituality, so that the elderly will feel themselves fulfilled mentally and can improve the quality of their sleep.
