Abstract
Learning media is a tool that can assist teachers in the teaching process, making it easier for students to understand the lessons provided. Based on interviews and observations conducted at SDN 1 Babat, it was found that the class IV natural science teachers infrequently used learning media, and the students exhibited diverse learning styles, including strong visual detail recognition, robust memory for images, auditory learning styles, and strong retention of information from lectures or discussions. To address these issues, the researcher developed an interactive natural science learning media on plant reproduction, including problem-solving evaluations at the end of the module.
This research was conducted at Jl. Pendidikan No. 2 with 22 students as subjects. It used a Research and Development (R&D) methodology using the ADDIE model, which includes five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data collection was performed through formative stages involving the ADDIE model and summative methods to assess students' learning outcomes. The reason for using the ADDIE development model is its systematic and sequential arrangement, which helps resolve learning issues in elementary education.
The results of the study on the VG-Plant media for plant reproduction revealed material expert validation at 88.63% and media expert validation at 88.75%. The average score for the evaluation problems in the learning media was 83.9, which meets the minimum criteria requirement (KKM). Thus, it can be concluded that the VG-Plant media significantly enhances student activity and interactivity during natural science lessons on plant reproduction for class IV students at SDN 1 Babat.
