TRADISI PERNIKAHAN MADURA DALAM NOVEL DAMAR KAMBANG KARYA MUNA MASYARI : KAJIAN ANTROPOLOGI SASTRA

Wedding tradition is a rule concerning wedding based on customs that exist in Indonesia. One of the marriage traditions contained in the Novel of Damar Kambang written by Muna Masyari is the tradition of marriage in the Madura region. Based on the tradition that exists in Madura in the Novel of Damar Kambang by muna Masyari, there is a depiction of the marriage traditions as well as the meaning and value of marriages in madura.
Descriptive qualitative is applied as the type of research and literary sociology as the study approach. The data in this research are in the form of words, writing, paragraph sentences and quotations in the novel of Damar Kambang written by Muna Masyari. Thus, the obtained data will be more valid and clear. Data collection techniques are by reading, understanding, identifying, conducting library study, marking and recording objects, clarifying data. The procedure of data collection needs to be implemented using reading and writing techniques. The technique of data analysis technique is utilized in the technical type of descriptive analysis.
The result of the research found depictions of Madurese wedding traditions in the novel Damar Kambang by Muna Masyari, namely Araba Pagar, Mokka’ Blabar, and Moter Dulang. Furthermore, in the meaning of marriage ttraditions in Madura, the meaning of kindship and kindship relations becomes closer.
