PEMANFAATAN MEDIA DIGITAL DALAM DISEMINASI INFORMASI PUBLIK KEGIATAN PEMBANGUNAN DAERAH (Studi pada Dinas Komunikasi Informatika Statistik Dan Persandian di Kabupaten Paser Kalimantan Timur)

The Informatics and Cryptography Communication Office is an agency engaged in communication and informatics which includes telecommunications, communication and information dissemination, telematics and electronic data processing. Information is a very important part for the community, therefore Diskominfo must maintain the information conveyed. This study aims to analyze the use of digital media in the dissemination of public information and what are the inhibiting and supporting factors in the dissemination of public information in regional development activities in Paser Regency, especially at the Communication, Informatics, Statistics and Cryptography Office.
The researcher analyzed the use of digital media carried out by Diskominfo using Gerbner's (1956) communication theory with 10 (ten) components, someone, Perceives an event, Reaction (And React), In a Situation, Through Some Means (Trought Some means), To Make Available Materials, Forms (In some form), Context (And Context), Conveying Message or Content (Conveying Content), Consequences (Of some consequence) on the Communication, Informatics, Statistics and Cryptography office in Paser Regency. The approach used is qualitative with a descriptive type, while the benefits of the research are academically as a provision of insight in the process of developing knowledge and learning to analyze problems that arise and practically the results of this research are used as a consideration for the Informatics and Cryptography Communication Office in making decisions.
The results of the study show that the use of media such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and websites is seen from 10 (ten) components. The use of media is used to make it easy for the public to access and get information about regional development activities. However, there are several supporting and inhibiting factors in carrying out information dissemination. The role of the Regional Government is expected to increase cooperation with Diskominfo in improving facilities and infrastructure and the quantity of human resources to further distribute information obtained by the community.
