Learning media is indeed needed during the learning process as an intermediary between teachers and students. It is often known that learning media has taken place. Based on observations and interviews with class IV teachers at SDN Blimbing 5 Malang, the learning process still relies on the teacher's book. Even though the facilities and infrastructure in schools are quite complete if used as support in creating learning media to motivate students to be more active in the learning process. The research aims to develop learning media in the form of illustrated animated interactive media. This development requires assessment by media experts and material experts, teacher and student responses as well as the influence of media use on student learning outcomes. This development research uses the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model. The research instruments consist of: 1) interview list for needs analysis observations, 2) material expert and learning media expert validation sheets, 3) teacher and student response questionnaires, 4) pretest-posttest questions to determine the influence of learning media on learning outcomes.
Based on the validation of material experts and learning media experts, it can be seen from the results of validation with learning media experts of 85% or feasible and material expert validation of 85% or suitable for implementation to students based on effectiveness tests for students when implementing learning media obtained 90% or effectively used in learning. The student response questionnaire obtained 100% results or was very interesting. Teacher respondents got a percentage of 98% or very interesting.
