Abstract
Employee scheduling is a complex challenge in every organization. Scheduling is not an easy task because its preparation requires to planning carefully so that the activities can be carried out optimally. Otherwise, occupational accidents and health can be affected by the organization of time and work tasks. at this problem occurs when employees make the wrong task schedule so that the employee's task schedule can appear more than once per shift or appear more than one task in his schedule every 10 working days. Therefore, to overcome these problems, it is necessary to schedule tasks in employee shifts using a computerized system to encourage the optimization of employee tasks at the Kontainer Café UMM.
Optimization is the result to be achieved so that it is appropriate, effective, and efficient. In this study, we produce an optimal division of tasks using a questionnaire sheet aimed at employees and compare it with the POM-QM application to prove whether the division of tasks for employees at the Kontainer Cafe UMM is optimal or not. This research uses applied research with a qualitative approach in the form of interviews and observations and quantitative in the form of calculating the optimal value using the POM-QM application. The implementation of this research was carried out at the Kontainer Cafe UMM aimed at employees and carried out in March–April 2024. So, the results of this study are to prove the optimization of the division of tasks that have been carried out at the Kontainer Cafe UMM by using the computerized POM-QM application compared to using the manual method, namely the Hungarian method.
