Abstract

Schizophrenia case calculated 90 % were appearing before 60 years old. The victim of schizophrenia was contract in 16-25 years old. Because of the stressor, the teens and adolescents have high risk in getting schizophrenia. That is why, the schizophrenia in advanced age is rare. Unbelievable, in advanced age can get schizophrenia. Whereas, their life were already experience the long phase which learnt the variety coping in facing the problem. Actually in advanced age have many experiences and have the maturity in their cognitive. But, they were experience schizophrenia. So, the researcher is interested to conduct the research about the dynamics of schizophrenia forms in advanced age. The researcher used qualitative research by using study case method. There are 2 women around 60 years old as the subjects of study. In analyzing the case in this study is using reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing / verification. The researcher used interview and observation as the instruments to get the data. Besides, the researcher also used triangulation resource method in data validity. The result shows that the dynamics of schizophrenia forms was started from the psychological of subject in the early age. Bad coping and ideal self which is inappropriate with the real life are the forms of susceptibility of subject psychological. In advanced age, these forms can decrease their physical and mental. No support and interest can cause bad adaptation about the stressor with the result the subject get frustration easily. Related with the result, the researcher gives the suggestion to the future researcher to investigate the dynamics schizophrenia forms in advanced age deeply. The future researcher can extend the subject of the study in gender side and the total of subjects as the standard of comparison and get more information
