There are some literary works which can be elaborated into deep analysis. They are letter, essay, novel, drama, poetry, song, etc. Drama is one of the literary works and one of the collections of dialogue that will be presented by the actors on the stage before the audience. Movie is one of the examples of drama. It also has a story that is written and to be acted for an audience, but movie has a screen as the media and the audience cannot see the actors immediately. Movie is supposed to be an image of the real world. There are some elements of drama which can be analyzed such as, character, theme, plot, dialogue, setting, audience, etc. The writer analyzed the bad languages which were used by the main characters in “Closer” movie. The purposes are finding the kinds of bad languages used by the main characters in “Closer” movie, knowing the expressions of bad languages and revealing the bad behaviors used by the main characters when they were using bad language. The research design which was used in this study was descriptive qualitative research. The subject of the study was bad language used by the main characters in “Closer” movie. The main characters were selected as the subjects of the study because they often used bad language in their conversation. The writer used observation and documentation as the instrument. The data were the quotations of the conversation among the main characters. The finding of this study was divided into three. The first was the kinds of bad languages used by the main characters in “Closer” movie. They were slang, taboo and swearing. The second was the expression of bad language used by the main characters in “Closer” movie. The expressions were insulting, anger, expletive, abusive, or in some other way. The third was bad behaviors used by the main characters when they were using bad language. The bad behaviors were raising the eyebrow, spiting out, clenching the fist, knitting the one’s brow, lifting the shoulder up, cynically, clearing the through, raising a hand. In conclusion, bad language was used by all the main characters in their conversation. Almost all of the bad language was used when they were angry and could not control their emotions. The purpose was that they wanted to show their expression to others.
