Abstract

Jl.Jend.A.Yani-Jl.R.Intan intersection is the gateway to the northern part of the city of Malang. This area is a link to the Terminal Arjosari who has access to the cities in Java, as well as access to public transportation Malang, so that operational Jl.Jend.A.Yani intersection as a point-Jl.R.Intan potential traffic problems. In an effort reduce queues and problems in the study area, the North approach is often applied to open-close system. At the current closed system approach traffic North (U-ST) was transferred through Jl.R.Intan, and the settings are ignored intersection of North approach, where the emptying of priority for the movement of traffic flows east approach (Q-RT). However, the effects of closed systems such as poor performance non-signalized intersections Jl.R.Intan-Jl.Panji Suroso. With this evaluation will be known performance-Jl.R.Intan intersection Jl.Jend.A.Yani normal conditions (open system), the condition of the transfer (closed system) and engineering conditions as well as the influence of the system close to the performance of non-signalized intersections Jl.R . Diamond-Jl.Panji Suroso. The method used in this study refers to the Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual (IHCM) edition of February 1997 for a signalized intersection and non-signalized intersections. Evaluation normal conditions (open system) shows the volume of traffic flow maximum (Qmaks) DS occurred in the North approach (U-ST) is 1.007 with 221 m long queues and delays averaged 119.2 sec / pcu, on non-signalized intersections Jl.R.Intan-Jl.Panji Suroso with DS = 0.919 delay = 16.003 sec / pcu and 33.9% chance queue - 66.9%. On the condition of the transfer (closed system) when the volume of traffic flow at peak (peak Qjam) The worst condition occurs in South approach (S-RT) DS = 0.936 and queue length = 114 m, on a non-signalized intersection Jl.R. Diamond-Jl.Panji Suroso DS = 1.398 with a delay = 34 sec / pcu and opportunities queue -172.8% 81.6% (theoretically). Analysis of the intersection of performance engineering conditions at normal traffic flow (open system) the worst conditions occur at the North approach (U-ST) DS = 1.094 with queue length 376 m, while the U-10 716 smp.det LTOR total delay, average intersection delay Average 49.01 sec / pcu, on a non-signalized intersection Jl.R.Intan - Jl.Panji Suroso DS = 1.05 with the delay = 20.163 sec / pcu and 42% chance of queuing - 83.4%.
